The “Pool” was formed at the back-up site on Rua Ottokar Dorffel in Joinville, north of Santa Catarina, this Wednesday afternoon (30). During excavations in the region, a pipe broke through in the water supply network.
The incident happened around 3:40 pm and water quickly flooded the place. According to City Hall, Companhia Águas de Joinville has already begun repairs to the pipe, which should be completed by 21:00 this Wednesday.
Properties located in the Atiradores area and part of Anita Garibaldi will have an impact on the water supply during the renovation. City Hall estimates that deliveries will return to normal tonight.
In addition to the impact on supplies, traffic also had to be affected due to pipeline repairs. One of the lanes on the Rua Ottokar Dorffel, located near the corner with the Rue Casador, had to be closed in the direction of the Centre.
