A stuck horse mobilized a volunteer fire department earlier Tuesday (29) afternoon in Pomerode, in the Itajai Valley. The animal was trapped at the entrance to the swamp.
According to firefighters, the owner of the animal tried to save it on his own, but to no avail, and therefore provoked the corporation.
Horse rescued by car
Three firemen and two cars were mobilized for rescue. With the help of a weight belt and a 4×4 vehicle, the team managed to get the horse out of the position it was in quickly and safely.
However, according to the corporation, the animal was already showing signs of hypothermia due to the temperature and the length of time it remained stranded.
The moment of rescue was recorded by firefighters. In the video, the animal can be seen covered in mud after being removed from the wetland.
