The disappearance of a 12-year-old girl in Pomerode, in the Itajai Valley, mobilized Santa Catarina’s security forces this weekend. A man suspected of being involved in her disappearance was found this Sunday (27) by PRF (Federal Highway Police) officers in Joinville and taken to give evidence to civilian police.

According to information received NDTV in Joinville, a suspect involved in the disappearance of a child would turn himself in to federal highway police after approaching him at km 33 of BR-101 in the Joinville industrial axis.
He told the police that he kept the girl at his house, that he drugged her and tied her to a false footboard. As a result, he was arrested and taken to the Pomerode civilian police station.
The civilian police confirm that the young woman has been found.
