The woman, who was held captive in an apartment in Balneario Camboriu, on the north coast of South South Carolina, has been harassed and threatened since the relationship ended in May of this year.
The suspect is the victim’s ex-partner and not her husband, as originally reported, the municipal guards said.
According to GM, the victim, a 26-year-old woman, says they were in a relationship but haven’t been together since May. From the very end, she would have endured threats and harassment from her former partner.
On the day of the incident, the man had to enter the victim’s house and take her by force from the scene. He then put her in a car, where the attacks began, she said.
She also says that he took her mobile phone from her so that the woman could not contact other people. Several substances similar to marijuana, MDMA and anabolic steroids were found on the property.
The victim told the guards that she had been raped for 24 hours. Neighbors heard screams and called the municipal guard, who went to the scene in an apartment at Rua 3300 in the center of Balneario Camboriu.
On site, the concierge reported that he could not contact the apartment. In addition, takeaway food had to be picked up and no one answered the intercom.
The garrison entered the apartment and, ringing the bell, the man opened the door. In the background, one could imagine a woman with swollen, purple, and wounded eyes. The guards entered the apartment and arrested the man red-handed.
The woman applied for protective measures
The victim asked for protective measures against a 30-year-old man who was taken to the police duty center for appropriate procedures.
The Council of the TJSC (Santa Catarina Court) advised that since domestic violence is involved, the process is confidential. Thus, there is no information about the outcome of the custody hearing and whether the suspect is in custody.
