The identity of the fisherman found dead at sea on Saturday morning (19) has been confirmed. One of the fishermen missing in Florianopolis since last Monday (14), the body of the victim was rescued at Praia dos Ingleses.
The discovery was made by another fisherman who was on the shore. After seeing the body in the water, the man called the Santa Catarina Military Fire Department (CBMSC).
The scientific police confirmed that the man found was identified as Willen Paredes da Silva, 29, from Florianopolis.
He is covered at Vargem Grande Adventist Church, funeral is scheduled for 9 am Sunday (20) in Santo António de Lisbon.
Firefighters are still searching for a second missing fisherman, Orlando Lemos, 78.
Fisherman’s boat disappears in Florianopolis
A boat with two fishermen disappeared last Monday (14) in Florianopolis. According to family members, the ship left at about 6 a.m. in the open sea north of Santa Catarina Island and did not return.
Around 8:00 pm that same day, the CBMSC (Santa Catarina Military Fire Department) was called and the group set out to search for the boat.
The works are concentrated on the islands of Aranhas, Molekes and Badejo. These places were chosen by the lost for fishing. The searches were supposed to last all night.

The CBMSC (Santa Catarina Military Fire Department) reported last Friday (18) that the search for fishermen missing in Florianopolis is currently being conducted by divers.
In a note, the corporation explained that it worked with air and sea search, helicopters, planes, drones, boats and jet skis. Together with the Brazilian Navy, firefighters combed the northern, eastern and southeastern parts of the island, as well as areas to the north and inside the North Bay.
The search for fishermen has changed the strategy
Firefighters said the strategy for finding the fishermen had changed. According to the note, from Friday, the corporation began to monitor the sea and look for divers in the area of the islands where they could go, especially Ilha dos Moleques do Norte.
