Two vehicles were completely engulfed in flames after colliding with a BR-101 at San Jose in Greater Florianopolis. The accident occurred at km 199 in the Serraria area around 9 pm this Friday (18).
A Jeep Renegade and a Kia Sportage were involved in the collision, according to the fire service, which responded to the incident on the northern highway. The two drivers involved in the accident received minor injuries and managed to get out of the cars before the flames started.
Videos circulating on social media show the cars in a horror movie-worthy scenario, where two cars are completely destroyed by flames still on the pavement.
The track was off-limits until firefighters put out the flames and removed what was left of the two cars.
The flow of traffic deviated along the secondary lane, but even so there were queues about 2 kilometers long.
