Last Thursday (10), the government of Santa Catarina launched the Estrada Boa program, which aims to start or continue infrastructure work on state and federal highways in the state. A total of 60 sites are envisaged, seven of which are located in the Northern region.

The total planned investment is 2.165 billion reais for the entire state, of which 1.5 billion reais for civil works and 665 million reais for revitalization. In the northern region, the budget will apply in the cities of Canoignas, Guaramirin, Itaiópolis, Jaragua do Sul, Joinville, Massaranduba, Monte Castelo and Porto Unian.

BR-280, section between Guaramirim and Jaragua do Sul

A UAE (Special Works of Art) is planned for the site, which are structures with specific designs for each specific situation, such as bridges, overpasses, viaducts. According to Grando, in the case of the BR-280, contracts were awarded to seven OAEs, namely: a bridge over the Itapocuzinho River; viaduct over the railway line; viaduct of Guamiranga; footpaths at 53, 56 and 58 km; underground pedestrian crossing at 58 km.

“They are all in progress, with a greater concentration on the Guamiranga flyover. Approximately 41% of the work has been completed, delivery is scheduled for April 2024, ”says the assistant secretary of state.

Joinville industrial access on a raised platform

Work on the Joinville industrial axis has already been completed, Grando said, with work focused on the highway flyover, which is about 50% complete.

“The main structure is already ready. The implementation of origins on reinforced lands is proceeding at an accelerated pace. Subsequently, the paving and signaling of this section will be supplemented,” he comments. Delivery is scheduled for November this year.

SC-110, in Jaragua do Sul

The SC-110 sections included in the Estrada Boa program run between km 92.5 and km 103.5 in the Jaragua do Sul mountain range and do not reach urban areas, Grando said. Works on this highway are at the stage of excavation, paving, drainage and additional services. Some localization work should begin at the site. The expected completion date is August 2024.

SC-108, between Guaramirim and Massaranduba

Work on this section has not yet begun. However, the region will receive investment from the Estrada Boa program and the secretariat is currently working on the approval phase of the company that will provide the services.

SC-477, between Canoinhas and Monte Castelo

The site that gets the job is between the BR-280 entrance at Canoignas and R$ 116 at Monte Castelo. “The roadway will be rehabilitated in this segment with platform restructuring, resurfacing of the paved highway, the creation of access roads and 3 lanes to increase capacity,” explains Brando. Work has not yet begun and is expected to take 18 months after the Service Order has been signed.

SC-114, Itaiopolis

According to the assistant secretary of state, this work is paralyzed due to the company’s statement about the termination of the contract. About 50% of the services have already been completed at all stages of the contract, including earthworks, paving, drainage, signaling and additional works.

“Approximately 700 meters at the beginning of the section and 1.4 km at the end of the section are awaiting completion, with occasional services such as signaling along the route. The secretariat is working to finalize the termination of the contract and hire a new company to complete the work through bidding,” he explains.

SC-340, between Porto Uniao and the area of ​​Santa Cruz do Timbo.

Work has already begun and work is progressing at an accelerated pace, says Grando. The site has areas where earthworks, paving, drainage, signaling and additional works are being carried out, which is approximately 40% of the work performed. Delivery is scheduled for December this year.
