The town of Blumenau in the Itajai Valley was chosen as the site for the first public hearing of the GT (Working Group) on School Violence. The meeting will take place this Monday (14) at the headquarters of AMVE (Association of Municipalities of the European Valley).
The choice of Blumenau to host the meeting, according to Santa Catarina federal deputy Jorge Götten (PL) and coordinator of the Working Group, was made in view of the April 5 attack on the Cantinho Bom Pastor kindergarten.
“Unfortunately, the municipality has become the site of one of the most brutal tragedies that have ever happened in the schools of Brazil. It is correct that the first city to be heard, along with Saudades, who is also invited, will be Blumenau.”

“We want a debate with a sum of ideas so we can actually find a more assertive path. We are well aware that there is no single formula, it is the sum of several initiatives that will restore justice and avoid tragedies,” Götten emphasizes.
