The Brazilian army has announced joint action with the state government and civil defense. Humanitarian relief mega-exercise to be held from 24 to 27 July in the cities of Santo Amaro da Imperatriz, Palos and Aguas Mornas.
The purpose of the exercise is to train Brazilian army specialists in coordinated and effective actions in particularly difficult situations in order to guarantee protection and assistance to the population in case of real disasters.

Recognition of risk areas: On the Vargem do Braço road to Santo Amaro da Imperatriz and on the Ulisse Guimarães highway to Aguas Mornas, soldiers will conduct reconnaissance simulations of areas prone to landslides, landslides, roadblocks, floods and other phenomena.
Arrival of the homeless: CTG – Boca da Serra, in Santo Amaro da Imperatriz, will be a simulation site in which the homeless will seek shelter carrying their backpacks and boxes.
Intrusion attempt: In the social care goods store in Águas Mornas, located on Avenida Cel. Islanders: Another simulated situation will involve people stranded in Santo Amaro da Imperatriz, which will require the readiness and coordination of rescue teams to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the rescue, including helping the elderly who ask for help.
Tanker accident: In Aguas Mornas, the military will face the problem of an accident involving a fuel truck that overturned and threw dangerous products onto the highway. A prompt and effective response will be critical in helping the driver and the three people exposed to alcohol in the vehicle.
Civil evacuation: The training will include simulations of civilian evacuations in isolated areas where the military will face complex scenarios to ensure the safety and protection of the population, conduct safe evacuations in the event of natural disasters or emergencies.
Delivery and preparation of donations: Teams will also be trained to receive and catalog donations from NGOs in Santo Amaro da Imperatriz, emphasizing the importance of logistics and effective resource management to better meet the needs of affected communities.
Power interruption and recovery: In Santo Amaro da Imperatriz, two simulations related to electricity will be carried out. The first will deal with power outages at the F Aj Hum (humanitarian aid force) base, where teams will deal with power shortages and deal with emergencies, such as using generators.
The second simulation will focus on power restoration, where a coordinated effort will ensure power is restored to continue humanitarian relief operations.
