This Friday (21 years old) a truck driver had a real nightmare when he stopped on the bank of the BR-470 in Ascurra, in the Itajai Valley, after the car that was following him flashed a light signal. According to the military police, those who were in the car, taking advantage of the stop, gave the driver away, forcibly put him in the car and stole it. Having surrendered, the man walked about 30 km until he was released in the city of Ibirama.
According to the military police, the victim was found alone on Castelo Branco Avenue, in the Areado area of Ibiram, near the BR-470 motorway. He told police that he was driving on the highway to Laches in Serra Catarinense in a red Iveco Stralis truck and a Rodofort trailer, both with Joinville license plates.
In the vicinity of Ascurra, on a BR-470, a dark-colored Citroën Air Cross following a truck flashed its lights to the truck driver, who decided to stop to see if anything had happened to the vehicle.
The truck driver then said that he was surprised by the trio who got out of the car that was following him. One of the men, thin, white and of medium height, pretended to have a pistol in his belt.
They pushed the truck driver into their car. The suspects blindfolded the victim with a T-shirt, and he was placed in a car, sitting on his own hands.
Getting into the car, the man said that he remembers driving along the highway for some time until he was released into the forest in the city of Ibirama. According to the victim, he walked until he managed to call the police.
The truck driver said the suspects took his Samsung mobile phone and debit card. According to the Sinesp Cidadão app, both the truck and the trailer driven by the man were accompanied by a theft or robbery record open until Saturday morning (22) and were never found again.
After the incident recorded in the police report was registered by the military police, no suspects were found. The case will be investigated by civilian police, details have not yet been disclosed.
