He was identified as Ronilton Gleison de Paula, a 40-year-old man who died after being hit by a tree during a hurricane that hit Brusca in the Itajai Valley. After falling into vegetation, the self-employed worker still fell down the stairs from a height of approximately 3 meters this Thursday (13).
The Santa Catarina Military Fire Department confirmed that the fall of the tree that struck the worker and knocked him down the stairs occurred when strong winds hit Brusca.
Ronelton’s body was buried between late Thursday afternoon (13) and early this Friday morning (14) in the Burial Chapel of the Parc da Saudade in the center of Brusca. According to Funerária Estrela, his body is being transported to Diamantina (MG), the hometown of a resident of the Ponta Russa region.
There, the body of a man must be buried in the presence of family members. On social media, several of Ronilton’s acquaintances and friends left tributes and farewell messages.
“So you, the pushy guy I saw, came and won back your things, well done. Good memories of the partnership with the “barbecue” remained. (…) Rest in peace, brother,” posted a friend.

It was around 12:10 this Thursday (13) when firefighters were called to help a man who was theoretically electrocuted on Rua do Funil in Limeira Alta.
However, when firefighters arrived on the scene, evidence suggested that the victim was operating the telephone network and it was windy at the time of the accident.
According to firefighters, a tree fell and hit a man who was on the stairs at the time of the accident. He was then knocked down the stairs, thrown to the floor from a height of about 3 meters.
By the time help arrived, the man had already been found dead, with a severe head injury and an open fracture. The Science Police, IGP (General Institute of Expertise), Military Police and Celesc were also on site.
