A fire that started in a wood-burning stove completely destroyed a house in the Pagara area, in Santo Amaro da Imperatris, Greater Florianopolis, on the night of this Friday (30) around 23:00. The CBMSC (Santa Catarina Military Fire Brigade) garrison arrived on the scene, cut off the power to the house, and had a head-to-head water fight.
Approximately 8,000 liters of water were used to extinguish the fire. The support of another truck from the Palhos fire brigade battalion was also required to contain the fire. After a cursory examination of the site, it was determined that the fire had been caused by a lit wood-burning stove.
The teams carried out an operation to eliminate any outbreaks that could occur again. The owner of the house was at the scene, there were no injuries.
