The French pilot, 77, is famous for his dives in the Titanic wreck. He is considered one of the world’s leading experts in this field and has made nearly 30 dives in the region, including the first to recover objects from the Titanic. Experts suggest that the submarine could be hooked on something. The US Coast Guard announced Tuesday (21) that it believes it has detected sounds coming from the bottom of the sea and the search has been intensified. On Tuesday, an underwater robot from the French Oceanographic Institute will join the search. The equipment will help locate the submarine and destroy any debris that might block the vessel.
