A complaint from a refrigeration logistics company in Garuva, north of Santa Catarina, resulted in the seizure of about 295 kg of coca paste. The action of the Military Police took place on the night of Tuesday (13) after the company reported that boxes of drugs were found in the container. The cost of the drug is about 35 million reais.
According to the military police, the company’s lawyer passed the information over the phone to a federal police delegate, who requested the support of the military police in seizing and delivering these illegal items to the federal police station in Joinville. No one was able to say who the substances belonged to and how they got to the scene.
The garrison at the scene confirmed this fact. This was discussed with the person in charge of the company on site, who did not know who the offender would be. He said the situation was “already being investigated by the federal police.” Until that moment, the exact amount of drugs, much less the type of drugs seized, was not known.
The garrison confiscated the illegal items and handed them over to the federal police station in Joinville. Of the 15 boxes, 14 contained 18 tablets of cocaine, a base paste, and one of them contained 19 tablets totaling 295,590 grams of cocaine-like substances, as evidenced by a “drug test” conducted by the federal police.
The legal representative of the company did not go to the federal police station in Joinville. From what has been reported, this situation is already being investigated.
