A driver suspected of involvement in the theft of 32 kg of fertilizer was detained on Tuesday (6). The cargo left Sao Francisco do Sul in the north of Santa Catarina, but never reached its destination in the city of Monte Alegre in the state of Minas Gerais. Warrants for provisional arrest, search and seizure were issued against the property of the defendants DIC (Criminal Investigation Division) Porto União. The prisoner was a driver responsible for taking the cargo to Sao Francisco do Sul.

According to civilian police, the man is suspected of being part of a criminal group that has been diverting cargo for some time in the states of Santa Catarina and Parana, and has repeatedly used this “mode of action”, presenting himself as a “victim”. two other theft crimes reported in the state of São Paulo.

The investigation was conducted by the DFRC/DEIC (Delegation for Robbery and Theft of Cargo of the State Office of Investigation) as the warrants were executed by the DIC.
