A man was injured after falling from a height of almost 10 meters in the town of Mafra, on the northern plateau of Santa Catarina, this Saturday morning (3).
According to the fire department, the 31-year-old victim was found lying at the bottom of the ditch. It happened on Estrada Geral do Butiá Alto street in the Rio Preto area around 11 am.
The victim was conscious and complained of pain in the buttock, as well as abrasions on the back and legs, and a possible dislocation of the finger. According to firefighters, the boy also had suspicions of a fracture in the buttocks.
After gaining access to the pit, firefighters immobilized the man with a stretcher and a neck collar to facilitate his removal with rescue equipment at height. The victim was rescued and sent to the hospital of the Rio Negrinho Foundation with stable vital signs.
