A 37-year-old man working as an app driver in Blumenau, in the Itajai Valley, experienced moments of terror and panic on Friday evening (2). It all started with a race around 20:40 that started at Rua Água Branca, in the Salto Weissbach area.

According to the victim’s report to the police, the two men were supposed to ask for a race in the Velha area of ​​Blumenau and reported a knife robbery along the way. They immobilized the driver and put him in the back seat, forcing the man to lie down.

At this point, the suspects took control of the vehicle, took 500 reais in cash into the car, and forced the victim to transfer the cash from their racing app to his bank account.

Then the group stopped at a certain place in Blumenau, which, according to the victim, he does not remember, and two more men got into his car. The owner of the car said he was also unable to provide further details on the duo’s physical characteristics.

Now, with four people on board and the app driver as a hostage, the car headed towards Indaiala, in the Encano Central area, where the suspects stopped, forced the victim out of the car and tied her up in the area. killings with pieces of seat belts.

According to the victim, she was also gagged with a sock and shoelaces. Once the four suspects had left in their car, the man managed to free himself and climb down the hill where he had been left, asking for help at a house near Clube de Caça de Tiro Encano Central around 1:30 am. Saturday (3).

There, residents called 911 at the request of a man who was the victim of a kidnapping, and he was rescued. In addition to a black Ford Focus Sedan, the suspects stole the victim’s wallet with all of her personal documents and bank cards, a black Samsung Galaxy 73 mobile phone, and sneakers.

Detours were carried out, but so far neither the car nor the suspects have been found. In view of the current situation, a police report was drawn up in this case, qualifying it as theft and extortion.
