A 30-year-old man was arrested in the Dona Francisca area, in São Bento do Sul, on the northern plateau of the state, on Tuesday (30) after trying to steal copper wires through the roof of a company. While climbing the five-meter structure to commit the crime, the roof collapsed and the suspect was arrested.
According to the military police, upon arrival at the location of the investigation inside the company, the suspect was leaning on a pallet with injuries to his face and hands. The prime minister gave the man the voice of arrest and called military firefighters, who took him to the hospital.
He stated that he was stealing copper wires from a lightning rod when the roof of the company gave way and fell. According to the report, after his fall, another man who was at the scene fled in a car.
During the service of the incident, three relatives of the author arrived at the scene. They were also taken to the police station for clarification.
