A company affected by a major fire in Barra Velha on the northern coast of the state this Thursday (26) could be worth 200 million reais in losses. The estimate comes from people close to the owners of the carrier.
Initial information also indicates that the company did not have insurance and would have to bear the damage, which includes the shed and stored cargo. The carrier has 35 employees, but at the time of the fire, all of them had already quit.
An examination to determine the cause of the fire began this Friday (26). The fire damaged barn has an approximate area of 19,000 m².
According to the Santa Catarina military fire department, the fire is currently under control, but the fires are located inside the structure of the barn.
Military firefighters are currently active from Barra Velha, Balneario Pizarras, Itajai and Itapema. Also volunteer firefighters from Barra Velha, Jaragua do Sul and Indayal.
According to the Military Fire Department, the incident is still ongoing with the following sources:
