Two girls, aged 4 and 8, were killed and burned to death by their own father in the state of Goiás last Monday (22). According to delegate Humberto Teofilo of the Goiás Civil Police, they begged their father not to be killed while committing the crime.
Ramon de Souza Pereira was arrested this Tuesday (age 23) on charges of killing girls in order to take revenge on his wife, whom he was divorcing. It was found in a wooded area in Santo António de Goias (GO).
According to police, the children’s father recorded the action and sent them to their mother and grandparents. In a telephone conversation obtained by the police, the father speaks to his maternal grandparents and informs them that he will kill the children. Grandparents try to dissuade him, but the man claims that his daughters will “live in heaven.” One of them replies, “Don’t do it, Dad.”
