Following the attack on the Cantinho Bom Pastor Kindergarten in Blumenau, in the Itajai Valley, the safety of the municipality’s students, teachers and educational staff will be discussed at a public hearing held by Alesc (Legislative Assembly of Santa Catarina). , this Thursday-Friday (25).
Organized by the Joint Committee for School Safety (Comseg Escolar), the event takes place from 19:00 at Espaço Don Concept, located on Rua Itajaí in Blumenau. The public hearings will hear community proposals for drafting a bill that the Legislative Assembly of Santa Catarina is preparing in conjunction with other public and private organizations.
The audience is attended by the Minister of Education Blumenau Alexander Matias and representatives of more than 30 organizations and state bodies of education, health and security, as well as representatives of the prosecutor’s office and the legislative, executive and judicial authorities.
“The discussion of safety issues in the educational institutions of Blumenau is of fundamental importance. Recognizing the importance of providing an increasingly safe and supportive learning environment for our students and staff, we are committed to implementing effective safety measures in all community educational institutions. Through public hearings, we can jointly discuss the concerns and suggestions of the community,” said Blumenau Education Minister Alexander Matias.
This is the first public hearing of Comseg Escolar. “The project aims to expand the discussion on issues related to safety in schools and how to promote a culture of non-violence, focusing on pedagogical issues and mental health issues aimed at prevention,” said Alesc President MP Mauro De. Nadal (MDB), who coordinated the project.
