A 45-year-old man was the victim of a murder this Friday (19) in downtown Garuva, north of Santa Catarina. The victim, Cristian Pérez Garcia, was taken to the UPA (preparedness unit) in the region, but succumbed to his injuries and died on the spot. Information from the PM (military police).

The police took Garcia to an emergency room in the area because his body had multiple stab wounds. However, he could not stand the wounds and died in submission to the UPA.

According to the prime minister, the crime happened around 23:16. Three suspects of involvement were arrested and taken to the Civil Police Center in Joinville.

One hypothesis is that the crime was motivated by jealousy. According to witnesses, the victim could “talk” with the wife of one of the perpetrators of the murder. The civilian police are continuing to investigate the matter.
