The chimney of a wood-burning stove caused a fire on the roof of a house in Porto Uniao, on the northern plateau of Santa Catarina, on Monday night (15). The building was empty at the time of the fire and no one was hurt.

According to the fire department, the flames began in the chimney of a wood-burning stove and spread to the roof of an apartment building. The garrison managed to identify the source of fire and put it out outside the residence.

Then, after the arrival of the relatives of the owners of the house, firefighters entered the house and carried out the liquidation of the consequences. Approximately 100 liters of water were used.

After the actions of firefighters, the premises were vacated, and the house passed into the care of the owner’s brother.
