Cenipa (Air Accident Investigation and Prevention Center) FAB (Brazilian Air Force) has completed its investigation into the plane crash that killed singer Marilia Mendonsa.

The accident also killed producer Enrique Bahia, Abiseli Silveira’s uncle and adviser, as well as pilot Geraldo Martins de Medeiros Júnior and co-pilot Tarciso Pessoa Viana. Information from the portal R7.

The information was made public this Friday (12), one year and six months after the tragedy that occurred on November 5, 2021. Cenipa, however, said it would only release the result after sharing the information with the families of the victims.

Cenipa also said that the investigation is not aimed at identifying the perpetrators and has no legal consequences. The process is “carried out with the aim of preventing new accidents and includes the collection and analysis of information and the generation of conclusions, including the identification of factors contributing to the occurrence, in order to formulate safety recommendations.”

Country music icon Marilia Mendonsa, considered the “Queen of Suffering”, has died at the age of 26. She and the team were going to Minas Gerais, where she was supposed to play a show. All died instantly.

The group was flying in a King Air C90 twin-engine aircraft with the prefix PT-ONJ, which took off from Santa Genoveva airport in Goiania and crashed a minute before landing at Caratinga airport, 243 km from Belo Horizonte, on the afternoon of the 5th. , November 2021.

The 1984 aircraft was rented to transport the artist and her team. The aircraft was owned by PEC Táxi Aéreo. The twin-engined car had previously had at least four other owners.
