An elderly woman with a hearing impairment was rescued from being hit by a train in Surat Thani, Thailand by a station worker. Video captured by surveillance cameras at the scene shows the exact moment when the head of the section, Titypong Piripol, runs to the aid of a 75-year-old woman last Sunday (30).
According to the Thai newspaper Bangkok Post, Titipong was in his office when he saw what was happening and ran out to help the elderly woman.
Seconds before the train hits the woman, an employee throws her to the ground. In his testimony, the Governor of the State Railway of Thailand praised Titipong for his “heroic deed”.
The administration also asked the public to be careful and make sure everything is in order before moving along the train line.
