The Federal Police have scheduled for next Wednesday (26) the testimony of former President Jair Bolsonaro during the investigation into the invasion of the buildings in Tres Poderes on 8 January.
Last week, Minister Alexandre de Moraes ordered testimony following a request from the Attorney General’s Office. For Moraes, listening to Bolsonaro is “a necessary measure to fully clarify the facts under investigation.”
In January, Moraes authorized the involvement of the former president of the republic in an investigation into the responsibility of the organizers of the actions and those who provoked the invasions and looting.
Earlier this month, Bolsonaro visited the headquarters of the federal police to testify in an investigation into the receipt of jewelry sent by Saudi Arabia.
On this occasion, the ex-president said that he learned about the existence of jewelry more than a year after their arrival in the country.
