Volunteer firefighters responded to two traffic accidents on Friday evening (14) on a BR-470 in Vale do Itajai. At the first collision around 19:30, queues were formed after a head-on collision between two cars.
According to the volunteer fire brigade of Ibirama, the accident occurred at km 108 of the highway in Apiune, in Ribeirão Carvalho. The accident involved a VW Gol with Apiúna license plates and a Toyota Hilux with Blumenau license plates.
Despite the damage, Gola’s 20-year-old driver suffered only minor injuries. Teams of SAMU (mobile emergency services) arrived at the scene.
The driver of the Hilux, as well as a pedestrian who was supposed to have been hit by one of the vehicles, were examined but were not injured. Both signed a waiver of custody and were released on the spot.
Clash at Indiana
Later, around 11:20 p.m., a VW Up crashed into a beam on the shore of BR-470 at Indaiala, in the Carijos area. At the site, work is underway to duplicate section 4 of the federal highway.
According to Indaial fire department, there was a couple inside the car. The man had serious injuries, and the woman had moderate injuries, which were found outside the car.
Both were sent to Beatriz Ramos de Indial Hospital for medical treatment. PRF (Federal Highway Police) teams were also involved in this incident.
