On Tuesday evening (4), around 8 p.m., a fire broke out at a logging company in Chapeco. The company, according to firefighters, is located on Avenida Nereu Ramos, in the Seminary area.
According to firefighters, the fire engulfed the “crusher” and a pile of shavings inside the barn.
Upon arrival, firefighters turned off the electricity and extinguished the flames. It took about 5,000 liters of water to completely extinguish the fire and eliminate the consequences.
Firefighters reported that thanks to the work of the brigade, about 90% of the building was saved. The site remained in the care of the owner, whose name was not reported.
