A fire broke out in a house that was also used as a recycling depot on Rua Guaira, in the Iririu district, east of Joinville, early Tuesday morning (4). The resident of the residence, a 67-year-old man, did not want to leave the house and had to be evacuated by the military police.
The footage from the moment of ignition shows that in order to extract the tenant, firefighters had to climb through the rubble to get to the second floor of the house.
According to the Volunteer Fire Department, the victim tried to put out the flames with a bucket and therefore refused to leave.
In addition to the victim, the dog was rescued. In the report, the man claimed that he was preparing food for his seven dogs, that he was distracted and forgot to light the fire, which could have started a fire.
In total, 11 firefighters in 7 vehicles were involved in the extinguishing. Specialists fought the fire for 5 hours and used about 80,000 liters of water.
