The military police put an end to a joke that should have been, but extremely dangerous, invented by young people from Indaiala, in the valley of Itajai. This weekend, a Chevrolet Corsa “incorrectly converted” to a convertible was confiscated following a police appeal.
According to a social media post by the 32nd BPM (Military Police Battalion) Indayala, the car was seen on the city’s public roads committing several traffic violations.
In addition to the removed roof, the side pillars of the car were also cut out, making it impossible to use seat belts in the front seats. The part is mandatory for use in any and all vehicles.
According to the military police, the car’s rear lights burned out and the tires were in disrepair. According to police, the car’s owner used the vehicle to shoot videos and brag on social media.
“The driver of this vehicle endangered his life and the lives of others, risk to society, by being able to run over a pedestrian and collide with other vehicles. It was a bad example for children and young people who are taught from an early age the caution to be observed in traffic, the road education that is so carefully conveyed by government agents and teachers,” PM said in a post.
In addition, the owner of the car carried an inflatable pool in the back seat of the car, on the back of which a few scribbles and words were still written.
In the BR-470 area on the night of Friday (24), they approached the car, towed it and detained it. According to the CTB (Brazilian Road Code), the driver was still fined for the offences.
