This Friday, the civil police of Blumenau in the Itajai valley arrested a couple suspected of being involved in the drug trade (24). It all started after the approach of a VW Gol car, which was already being followed by the police, on Rua República Argentina at about one in the morning.
Following complaints, the civilian police launched an investigation into a woman allegedly involved in the illegal drug trade in the city. According to available information, she not only kept drugs at home, but also delivered them.
According to the civilian police, after an observation that lasted approximately six hours, the car in which she was accompanied by a man was approached. In the back seat of the car were two black bags with 37.2 kg of marijuana.
In response to a question, the woman not only confirmed to the civilian police agents that they were selling drugs, but also said that there were more of them at home. Another 8 kg of marijuana, items and notes related to illegal trafficking, a precision scale and 14 LSD microdots were found at the scene.
According to the delegate in charge of the investigation, Ronnie Reis Estevez, the couple were arrested red-handed for drug trafficking and links to drug trafficking. According to the civilian police, the couple did not deny the crime throughout the testimony.
Those involved in the incident were sent to the Blumenau Regional Prison, but the prison administration refused to accept the woman, who was supposed to spend the night at the police station. The reason for the refusal is not reported. Prisoners now remain at the disposal of Justice.
