The body of young Jessica Elias da Rosa, aged 23, was found around 8:30 pm on Thursday (23) in a dense forest in the city of Azucena, in Braço do Norte, south of Santa Catarina.
The action was attended by firefighters who helped the civilian police get to the body and take it out. The military police also provided support.
The girl has been missing since January 21. According to investigators, she was kidnapped by her ex-mother-in-law and her ex-partner’s current girlfriend after she left her home in the Bela Vista area.
Two suspects were temporarily arrested last Saturday (18). During the testimony, one remained silent, while the other denied any involvement in the crime.
On Thursday, civilian police also arrested the ex-mother-in-law’s partner for involvement in the crime. The suspect led police to the burial site of Jessica’s body.
The investigation indicates that the girl was kidnapped, kept in a private prison, and then killed. The motivation could be due to disagreements with the ex’s family.
According to civilian police, Jessica had a difficult relationship with an ex-boyfriend. He was even arrested for setting fire to her house after the breakup.
Then the former mother-in-law would have been indignant at the situation and would have seen the young woman guilty. The victim left two children: one is 5 years old, the other is 8 years old.
