A group of teenagers, whose age is unknown, were approached drinking alcoholic beverages in a square in Mondai, in the far west of Santa Catarina. The PM (military police) received the complaints at around 3:30 pm on Thursday (23).
The garrison reported that the group drank vodka mixed with energy drink and ice. When asked about the origin of the alcoholic drink, they replied that they bought it.
The Board of Trustees was convened, which remained with the teenagers. The drink was confiscated, a protocol was drawn up about the incident. Since the purchase was made over the phone, the police attached prints of the order to the protocol.
Selling liquor to minors is a crime under Act 8069. The law states that it is prohibited to sell, supply, serve, give or deliver, even free of charge, to children or teenagers alcoholic beverages or products whose ingredients may cause physical or psychological dependence. Punishment – imprisonment for a term of 2 to 4 years and a fine.
