A woman found burnt on a street in Brusca has been identified as Monalisa Araujo dos Santos, 28, from Itabuna, British Columbia. The information was made public by the civilian police this Thursday (23) through the city’s Criminal Investigation Department (DIC).
The corporation said that the victim was identified from documents found by the police during the investigation, which were submitted to the Scientific Police for analysis, culminating in the identification of the woman.

On the afternoon of Wednesday (December 22), around 5:30 pm, the charred body was discovered by residents on Edgar von Büttner Street in the Bateas district of Brusca. The victim was in a neglected state of decomposition, could not even determine his gender.
The Military Police, the Medical Institute of Law (IML), the Scientific Police and the Civil Police were involved in the case.
