The city hall of Concordia, in the west of Santa Catarina, has hired a private security service to help the state deal with delinquents in the city.
According to the municipal administration, in recent days there have been riots and fights in public places, acts of vandalism against public property, in Dogello Goss Square, in furniture on the boardwalk and in the theft of Easter-themed decor.
Private security will work at night, starting at 17:00. The Public Authority of Concordia makes it clear that security is the responsibility of the state, but given the small number of military police in the city, they have decided to help in an effort to mitigate the problem before it becomes large.
The executive branch also requires the population to denounce these actions, informing the military police so that those responsible can be held accountable in accordance with the law.
