An altercation between a customer and a gas station worker that nearly ended in an explosion at the gas station became a police matter earlier this week with nationwide repercussions. This happened in Curitiba (PR) around 10 am last Saturday (18).
According to the Prime Minister (Military Police), the key to a car that was filling up at a gas station in the Pilarzinho neighborhood broke as a result. According to the report, this could have led to a fight between a gas station worker and a gas station customer.
After the problem, an employee doused the client with gasoline and set him on fire with a lighter on the territory of the gas station, which caused a serious risk of the structure exploding, which, fortunately, did not happen. The suspect then fled and has not been seen since Saturday (18).
Immediately, other attendants rushed to the aid of the victim and took the man to the fire department. The victim, identified as Cayo Murilo López dos Santos, was rescued and taken to an evangelical hospital in Curitiba.
On Monday (20) the patient removed the first dressings and some of the dressings that had been applied to the burns. According to the victim, the hands were most affected.
According to the RIC Mais portal, the victim provides services to the company in São Paulo and depends on hands to install chandeliers at events as well as in buildings. The man risks not returning to work.
The Caio manager traveled to Curitiba this Monday (20) to work out the details of the removal while the worker recovers from his injuries.
In a video posted on social media, he details everything that happened. The Civil Police of Paraná have opened an investigation into this episode and are hearing witnesses relevant to the case.
