A man was electrocuted and fell from a height of about 3 meters in Itapema, on the north coast of Santa Catarina. The accident happened around 3:00 pm while the man was working.
According to the Military Fire Department, the garrison was called to respond to the incident prior to the arrival of the Samu (mobile emergency response service). When Samu’s ambulance arrived, the man was registered and placed in an improved vehicle, which continued to serve and took the victim to the hospital.
Witnesses told firefighters that the accident occurred when a Munck truck, which was maneuvering with equipment to be used on the job, ran over a high voltage wire. At this point, the man would have leaned against the equipment.
I had to call Celesk to check the wiring. Municipal security was on site to direct drivers passing down the street due to a fallen wire in the middle of the street.
