A man was arrested in Timbo, in the Itajai Valley, when he entered a restaurant where, coincidentally, several police officers were having lunch around 12:00 this Thursday (16). The volume under the suspect’s shirt attracted attention and the prime minister (military police) decided to approach him.
According to the PM (military police) report, in order not to expose the suspect and not create additional inconvenience in moving around the restaurant filled with visitors, the approach was made from outside the establishment.
The man was seen with a Taurus T59 pistol in a holster on his belt. The weapon was empty, although the suspect also had nine 9mm rounds in another container.
When asked if he had a license, that is, permission to walk around the territory with a weapon, the man replied that he had just left the shooting club, which he visited in the morning.
The man was then taken to the police station to testify. He was charged with illegal possession of a legal firearm.
