This Friday morning (17) the Federal Police launched a police operation against counterfeit CNH (National Driver’s License) in the southern region of Santa Catarina.
According to PF, two search and seizure warrants are being served in Crisium at locations that may be related to the issuance of a false document. The warrants were issued by the 1st Federal Court of Florianopolis.
The action is related to a police investigation launched in mid-2022 into the use of counterfeit CNH at a banking facility in Crisium.
The investigation found that people in the region offered, gave out and sold this kind of false documents. The crime of falsifying an official document is classified in the Brazilian Penal Code and carries a prison sentence of 2 to 6 years and a fine.
