A 29-year-old man was caught red-handed by the prime minister (military police) for attempting to impersonate his twin brother during a police approach on Avenida Sete de Setembro, Esperanza district, in Galvana, in the far west of Santa Catarina. The attack took place this Thursday morning (16).
He was driving an Iveco/Eurocargo truck and was approached as he passed a group of military police without the vehicle’s front license plate. When presented with a CNH (national driver’s license), the man introduced himself as his twin brother.
However, after 20 minutes, he explained to the police that he did it because he did not have a license. After several searches, law enforcement officers managed to identify the driver.
The owner of the truck arrived at the scene and said that he was aware that the truck driver had been unqualified for a long time because the legal driver, who is the driver’s twin brother, was undergoing treatment.
According to the prime minister, in addition to the fact that the truck did not have a front plate, the truck had license debts. Violation notices and a detailed bulletin were issued against a driver who used a twin brother’s CNH for a misrepresentation offense and a truck owner for a traffic offense allowing the referral of an unqualified person.
The two were required to appear at the hearings at the Comarca San Domingos Forum. Those involved were sent and released at the point of approach.
