On Wednesday (16), the Federal Tax Service of Blumenau launched an operation to combat theft and smuggling in tobacco shops and convenience stores in the region. The action was carried out through the city group of observation and repression.
According to the Federal Tax Service, six establishments were inspected, including tobacco and convenience stores, two of which were fined for wasting hookah essences, smuggling tobacco cigarettes and electronic cigarettes.
This Thursday (16) an inspection was carried out at a distributor in Gaspare, where a large number of hookah essences of foreign origin were found without legal evidence of regular importation, as well as tobacco cigarettes, electronic cigarettes and about 30 thousand reais in cash.
The owner of the establishment was taken to the federal Itajai police, where he was prosecuted for embezzlement. Bail in the amount of 10,000 reais was paid by the arbitration court.
Also, according to the Federal Revenue Service, the seized products are valued at about 200,000 reais and will be sent to its warehouse.
