This Monday (13) the civilian police raided and arrested the home of a medical student in Palos. He is under investigation for threats, drunk driving and homophobic slurs against the voters of President Lula (PT) in Florianopolis.
The object of the operation is also the second man, who would record episodes of violence. He is a college classmate and shares a house with a delinquent. The six officers who executed the warrant seized cell phones and laptops from the suspects.
The crimes took place on the night of October 28, 2022 to Friday, on the eve of the second round of the presidential election. The cases began to be investigated in February after videos circulated online, Delegate Arthur Lopez, head of the DRRDI (Delegation Against Racism and Intolerance Crime), details.
It all started with a ballad in the Center of the Capital, when a 34-year-old man teased the party-goers. “He was very excited, yelling and yelling at people. He said that those who voted for Lulu would appear dead, that they were stupid,” says Lopez.
After leaving the event, the duo began moving around the city, continuing their crimes, the investigation clarifies. A 34-year-old man, a native of the capital Sao Paulo, allegedly drove a vehicle while intoxicated, coercing alleged presidential voters who were on the street. Another suspect recorded offenses.
The video below shows one of the episodes in which a university student threatens two men. “I killed three, you will be the fourth. I will shoot them both. Would you like to vote for Lulu, partner? “, – says the suspect. He also claims that he is going to “shoot” his relatives and showers homophobic insults.
The civilian police must complete the police investigation within 30 days. The men are under investigation for the crime of threatening (detention from one to six months), homophobia characteristic of the crime of racism (from one to three years), and the crime of driving under the influence (from six months to three years). The report failed to find protection for those under investigation.
