Two houses were destroyed by fire on Saturday evening (11), around 20:00, in Morro da Mariquinha, in the center of Florianópolis. The flames engulfed two wooden houses in the area, no one was injured.
The military fire brigade stressed that the incident was quite difficult due to difficult access to the fire site. The trucks used to put out the fire had to be parked far away from the affected houses, the team said. Firefighters needed several hoses to bring the fire under control.
In addition, according to firefighters, access to the houses was narrow and limited, which made the work of the brigade even more difficult. Power lines around the houses were also another concern for the team, who needed even more care when fighting the fire.
However, according to firefighters, some members of the team were shocked because of the secret connections. Firefighters had to wait for Celesk’s arrival to put out the fire at the source of the fire. There were 4 hours of work in total.
An expert will determine the cause of the fire. Despite the assumption that the houses were residential, firefighters were unable to confirm the information, as there was no responsible person at the scene at the time of the incident.
