Two people were killed in a head-on collision between two vehicles this morning in the south of Tenerife, the 112 Emergency and Security Coordination Center said.

The collision occurred in the municipality of Guia de Isora, where local police agents and members of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) went, who reported that both people were trapped inside vehicles and showed no signs of life.

Firefighters also arrived and freed the people stranded in the vehicles, with SUC officials later confirming their deaths.

In addition, agents of the civil guard and road personnel of the Cabildo de Tenerife provided assistance.
