A total of 615 traffic fines were issued to motorcyclists, which occurred in Peña, on the north coast of Santa Catarina, over the weekend. The event, which attracts motorcyclists from all over the country, was held from 2 to 5 March.
According to the Military Police, the operation began on March 24, when there were already motorcycles in the city to participate in the action. 113 police officers were involved in the special operation, including specialized police with motorcycles, cavalry and demonstration police.
Drones, police barriers and security cameras are some of the strategies used by the police to prevent traffic problems in the city. However, according to the prime minister, there have been several calls to 190 complaining about the motorcycle event or the participants.
A total of 1,786 vehicles were stopped, 185 of which were removed from the yard, 11 reports of incidents and 5 arrests at the crime scene. The police detained more than 800 people.
