After a year of investigation and investigation into drug trafficking in Bombinhas, on the north coast of Santa Catarina, with five search and seizure warrants and eight arrest warrants issued to more than 30 police officers on February 28, Operation Inconvenience was cancelled. by the judge herself who canceled the execution of the warrants.

According to the civilian police in charge of the operation, the investigation lasted almost 6 months under Chief Ricardo Melo alone, involving 23 military police officers and 17 civilian police officers gathering evidence against the suspects.

Among the suspects is the main target of the operation, known as the “King of Dust” Bombinhas, who, according to investigators, led a luxurious life.

“In 24 years of service, I have not seen anything even like this. Obviously, court decisions are being reviewed, and this is part of the democratic game, but the very power that issued the warrants, which is aware of the depreciation and very high cost of the state resources involved, cancels the decision itself for me unprecedentedly. ” emphasized Delegate Eder Jasiel, who also participated in the investigations.

According to the magistrate, the pictures obtained by the investigation were taken illegally, so they will be excluded from the process. The civil police, in turn, dispute this assertion and confirm the legality of the evidence, the public prosecutor must appeal the decision.

In addition to the images proving drug trafficking in the establishments, the police also produced testimonies from dozens of users leaving the establishment confirming that the drug had been bought on the spot, even in this case the images were deemed illegal and ignored by the magistrate.

In this case, especially since this is a litigation that is considered in secret from justice, the Court cannot speak, but emphasizes that all decisions are subject to appeal, which can be upheld or even changed.

Inconvenience of operation

After more than a year of investigations, the civil and military police of Bombinhas carried out Operation INconvenience, focusing on convenience stores that could be fronts for drug trafficking, theft, smuggling and child abuse.

On February 28, the operation issued six temporary arrest warrants, one arrest warrant for a teenager, and eight search and seizure warrants.

According to the investigation, the police found that the criminal organization had a well-defined structure with a division of tasks and used institutions in the districts of Bombas and José Amandio to commit crimes.

The warrants were issued by the bailiff. The leader of this organization will be the owner of the amenities and responsible for coordinating crimes and direct drug sales.

The prisoners were taken to the police station and will be sent to the penitentiary system. The inquiry with the results of the investigation must be completed within 30 days.
