The celebration of the 350th anniversary of Florianopolis goes beyond concerts, cultural and sporting events. Important works are expected to be delivered to the city during March, according to the Florianopolis City Hall.

There are other important works on the list, which will be presented in the month of the anniversary of Florianopolis. Also planned this month is the expansion of the sand strip at Praia dos Ingleses in the north of the island.

With the arrival of the Russian dredge Optimus on January 29, dredging began, which will widen the strip of sand at a site about three kilometers from the beach. On the south corner of the beach, work has begun, led by DTA Engenharia, the same company responsible for expanding the beach in Canasvieiras.

• Praia da Saudade and Praia do Riso decks on the Florianopolis mainland;
• Launch of a women’s and children’s polyclinic;
• Duplication of Rua Deputado Edu Vieira.

The mayor’s office also said that the opening dates of other facilities will be announced during March.
