A 27-year-old motorcyclist died after falling from the top of a waterfall on the Estrada Heral, in Gaspar, in the Itajai valley. According to the Military Fire Department, footprints on the road showed that the motorcycle driver lost control of the curve and ended up falling into the waterfall.
Initially, firefighters were called in to support the Military Police in the search for the man. According to preliminary information, the motorcycle was found with a key along with documents and, possibly, the owner is in the forest.
Upon arrival, the bike was already removed. The car was close to the roadside, but the driver’s body was found at the bottom of a ravine approximately 50 meters deep, in a waterfall, squeezed by his feet.
With the help of ropes and a stretcher, firefighters carried the body away from the scene. IML (Medical Institute of Law) worked. The identity of the victim has not been released.
