Two men were arrested and two teenagers were detained with guns and ammunition in the countryside between Timbo Grande and Lebon Régis on Saturday afternoon (18). The suspects were approached after members of the Environmental Military Police became suspicious of the group while on patrol in the community of Santa Maria.
According to police, they were in two cars on the main road of the village. In addition to six .32, .20, .12 caliber guns, the cars with Timbó Grande/SC license plates were carrying people and dogs.
Police said that only one of those involved had a permit to handle a wild boar and register a weapon, the rest did not have any documents and / or a license to do so. They still had ammunition, flashlights and GPS collars.
The two men and two teenagers were taken to the Cásador Regional Police Station for the relevant procedures. They claimed that they were hunting in the area being checked.
