Two men who were traveling on the BR-101 to Porto Belo, on the north coast of Santa Catarina, were arrested this Thursday for outstanding arrest warrants for trafficking and receiving (9). For illegal possession of firearms, they will still be answered with an aggravating circumstance of shaved numbering.
The Federal Highway Police approached a VW/Tiguan with license plates from São José dos Pinhais (PR) Thursday evening on BR-101 in Porto Belo, at the toll booth.
When examining the car in the glove compartment, a Turkish-made pistol of 9 mm caliber with erased numbering was found, loaded with 11 rounds, ready for use.
In consultation with the system, it was confirmed that two of the three occupants of the car had pending arrest warrants.
Justice was looking for a 28-year-old man for a drug-related offense and another, a 30-year-old for drug trafficking.
All of them were taken to the Itapema police station for crimes of illegal possession of firearms with the aggravating circumstance of a scratched number and to serve their sentences.
